Gunman Shoots From Pyramid of the Moon at Teotihuacán, Killing Canadian Tourist and Wounding 13 Before Taking Own Life
A lone gunman fired on tourists from the Pyramid of the Moon at Mexico's Teotihuacán archaeological zone on April 20, 2026, killing a 32-year-old Canadian woman and wounding 13 other foreign visitors. Mexican authorities identified the shooter as 27-year-old Julio César Jasso Ramírez of Mexico City, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
